The Purpose of the Alabama MBA is to represent mortgage lenders doing business in Alabama by being active in the following areas:

• Provide gathering places for the sharing of information and ideas among those involved in the mortgage lending process in Alabama;
• Provide education through our own resources as well as by leveraging regional and national opportunities;
• Serve as a clearinghouse for national and regional mortgage industry data;
• Work with state and local legislatures, and other governmental and regulatory bodies to promote home ownership and to ensure that the business climate in Alabama is fair for both the consumer and the mortgage lending industry; and
• Communicate and cooperate with other trade association involved in mortgage lending to achieve these purposes.
